Life skill education through stories

STORY OF A FROG

An old frog was very learned and he had lot of knowledge on many things.

But the frog never left the well. One day a snake came and began to eat the
frogs.
All the frogs jumped out fast and ran away.

But the frog with a lot of knowledge was not able to jump the wall and the snake ate him up.
The other frogs said, what is the use of all that knowledge if you do not have the skill to apply them?
He did not have the skill to jump out of the well and so he died.

Life skills are necessary for perfect living

“…life skills (are) not a domain, or a subject, but cross-cutting applications of knowledge, values, attitudes and skills, which are important in the process of individual development and lifelong learning.

They are not just a set of skills, nor are they equal to survival skills, livelihood skills, or vocational skills but part of these skills.”
